Students of Promise
Making a Commitment for Tomorrow
Financial and housing instability. The loss of loved ones. Health issues. Our Students of Promise recipients face obstacles such as these and work to overcome them on a daily basis. They demonstrate an extraordinary level of resilience and determination in the face of adversity.
Each year, the Foundation for Clovis Schools selects 16 high school juniors as Students of Promise. The award recognizes these students' unwavering spirit in school and also provides the promise of a $2,000 scholarship for post-secondary education after graduation.
“The perseverance, courage and humility these students have shown are nothing short of inspiring. Despite great challenges, they have achieved excellence and left a lasting mark on their schools and community," said Foundation Chairperson Josh Phanco. "We're honored to celebrate their achievements and to help fuel their journey as tomorrow's leaders."
Past recipients of the Students of Promise scholarship have gone on to build impactful careers in education, counseling, nonprofit work, law enforcement and beyond.
