As a Clovis resident, businessman, and proud parent of three Clovis Unified graduates and one current Clovis Unified student, I am a huge supporter of this district and the people who make it what it is. Educators and community members alike willingly invest their time, talent and resources to create the unique and special district that is Clovis Unified.
You would never know it when you walk onto one of our beautiful campuses or watch a game or performance at one of our state-of-the-art facilities, but Clovis Unified is doing a lot with much less than our neighbors every year. In the 2022-2023 school year, Clovis Unified received an average of $2,936 less per student than other school districts in Fresno County. If Clovis Unified received the average of other Fresno County school districts, there would be $120 million more to spend on our students each year. Imagine what that additional funding could do to support learning in Clovis Unified!
This is exactly why the Foundation for Clovis Schools was established in 1986: To ensure that Clovis Unified students always have the resources needed to excel, and to stand in the gap created by these funding inequities. The Foundation is eagerly continuing this work today through its various programs, scholarships and grants. On behalf of the Foundation Board of Directors, thank you for supporting Clovis Unified and the Foundation for Clovis Schools.
